Mission Opportunities
Green Tape is a food collection for the needy. The food is collected the first Sunday of every month during worship
Simpson Shelter
We collect food to take to the Simpson Shelter. We also have volunteers serve the food at the shelter. We usually perform this service monthly.
Furniture Give-Away
We collect furniture and donate it to the Emma Norton Residence or other individuals in need.
UMCOR - Sager Brown in Louisiana
Each January some of our members travel to Louisiana to rehabilitate housing and assemble relief kits.
Paint-A-Thon
The Paint-A-Thon is held each August. We team up with other churches in our district to help the elderly and the poor restore the paint on their houses.
Emma Norton Residence
Throughout the year we collect furniture, holiday gifts, and other needed items and donate them to the women staying at Emma Norton Residence.
Medical Equipment Loan
Throughout the year we collect medical equipment for temporary loan to members and friends.
Crop Walk
This is a east metro event that is held each October to raise money for world and local hunger. Walkers, mark your calendars!
Urban Academy Team
Urban Academy, a national Holy Boldness program of The United Methodist Church, bears witness to the importance of the city for the missional soul of the church. Christ Church is proud to be one of thirty-three participating churches of the metro east district.
Metro East Builders
Assist in the building and support of Metro East UM Churches.
