CHURCH INFORMATION |
A pasty is a combination of beef cubes, potatoes, rutabega, carrots, and onions enclosed in a crust. They come from the southern country of Cornwell, England. The Cornish underground miners used these for their main meal at work. They brought the pasty to the U.S.A. Our recipe is from the Eveleth United Methodist Church. Frozen- In the oven at 350 degrees for 1 hour or in the microwave for 3 minutes then put under the broiler to brown. Thawed- In the oven at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour. Side dishes for pasties include: salads, jello, coleslaw,
salsa, vegetables, catsup, gravy, vinegar, and creamed soup (celery,
mushroom) Remember to order your pasties: February, April, and October |
